Terms of use
Last updated: 2026-08-04
By downloading or using SynaRoute you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.
1. Scope of the licence
SynaRoute is free to use for individuals and teams. There is no charge.
The project's source is public on GitHub for inspection, but it does not currently ship an open-source licence. Until the author states otherwise, please don't redistribute, repackage or commercially distribute the software without permission. Reading it, building it and using it yourself are of course fine.
2. You bring your own API keys
SynaRoute provides no AI model service of its own and comes with no quota. You obtain API keys from the vendors yourself and are bound by each vendor's terms of service.
Any charges, rate limiting, suspension or other consequences arising from your use of a given upstream vendor are a matter between you and that vendor, not this software.
3. Your responsibilities
- Keep your API keys safe;
- Make sure you're entitled to use each upstream service you configure;
- Don't expose the local proxy port to the internet;
- Comply with the laws and regulations on AI service use that apply where you are.
4. Disclaimer
This software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, reliability or uninterrupted operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from use of, or inability to use, this software — including but not limited to quota consumption, data loss or business interruption.
Please note in particular:
- "Confirm execution" in brain aggregation really does write to your files. Use it with version control or backups in place.
- Aggregation and proxying really do consume your API quota. Enabling tool calls increases that noticeably.
- The application modifies your client config files (backing them up first). If you keep custom content in those files, mind the backups.
5. Third-party content
This software interacts with the third-party API services you configure. Their availability, responses and billing are determined by those vendors; this software is not responsible for their content or behaviour.
6. Changes and termination
The author may update the software or these terms at any time; updated terms take effect when published. You may stop using and uninstall the software at any time.
7. Contact
